West Virginia is very beautiful.  It was wonderful to drive a different route since we were leaving from my Nana’s to come to Dayton.  We saw lots of incredible mountain views.  The boys had a great visit with their GG for her 84th birthday—I’ll post pictures sometime.  It was an absolutely gorgeous day outside—we spent as much time out there as we could.  Brian and I even had a mini date on the dock when the boys went to bed—we saw some shooting stars.  Basically today was all driving, we left at 9am and got to Veronica’s at 10pm. We did make three long stops for nursing and eating and running and climbing rocks and playing on a playground.  Thank you for praying for us, it really did go well.  The boys remained occupied with our two new CDs—Sandra Boynton’s Philadelphia Chickens and Latin Playground.  They also played with their magnadoodles and a Leapfrog book and a Story Reader book.  Those are all great for long rides.  Looking forward to seeing so many of you!!!

  1. That sounds like such a nice memory of you 2 on the dock under the shooting stars. Sometimes aren’t you so tempted to forego carseats on long trips like that? We’ve travelled in S.A and Asia w/o carseats…and it’s SOOO nice to not have to stop the car to change a diaper. But, for now it’s the law 🙂 Yes, Andy and I are going to Momentum. Some of our teens will be there a wk. before for a work project, then we’ll bring some more down for the 2nd week. I’m really bummed they don’t have childcare, as I was planning on bringing the kiddos. They’re staying with my parents, so they’ll be fine. It’s just hard to leave. Are you guys going?

  2. I am so happy to hear things are going well on your travels. We are praying for you! When you guys get back Mom and Dad would love to take you guys sailing if you’re up for it. See you soon.

  3. Yay!  I’m so glad the trip is going well.  Sounds like you have traveling with small ones down.  I’ll be asking for more tips here soon.  We’re praying for you guys.
