Yesterday Brian and I made a master daily schedule.  We haven’t been as scheduled since Zeke came and well, I wasn’t exactly on a schedule a few months before he came–anyway. My schedule included waiting for baby and napping and the obvious, taking care of a family.  We have our days all mapped out—it worked great today.  It involves me getting up at 6:15—ugghh, but I like the quiet house.  I’m naturally a night owl, but I can adjust.  So, I was so thrilled and excited and ecstatic about all that was accomplished.  I spent time with God and then exercised.  I actually tried running(walked too), when I got back and told Brian I ran the length of the boardwalk, he told me it was 3/10 of a mile.  Okay, so it wasn’t a long stretch, but I RAN!!  Tonight Brian gave me a running lesson, I’m really excited.  With some good shoes and good form, maybe I could be a future marathon runner.   =) That’s not my goal but my goal is to run for at least 5 minutes, then 10, then 15…..those are my goals.  I played outside with the boys.  I did some Rosetta Stone Spanish exercises.  I read a few pages of a book I’m trying to finish–Victory Over the Darkness.  I completed 2 scrapbook pages—I haven’t worked on that for like 4 or 5 months.  Brian and I spent some time reading Shepherding a Child’s Heart.  We watched Heroes—just started watching season one.  And now I’m blogging.  It was a thoroughly  productive and extremely satisfying day.  The only reason this works is because of Brian working at home…..we each have times to take care of the boys. So—I am thrilled.  I really hope we can keep up, really, really hope!!!!

  1. I love schedules. They do make things seem so much easier and organized. I’m so glad you were able to get so much accomplished! What a great feeling. And way to go on the running!! That’s how I started, too… just running 5 minutes, then 10, etc.etc. It sounds like you guys had a really good day. 🙂

  2. Wow, you really got alot done–that’s so great!   I hope the schedule continues to work out for you guys and good job on the running and scrapbooking!  I so need to start getting back into exercising too, hopefully when Equip and the Philly trip are over after next week.  hope you can finish your book–that’s always a good feeling of accomplishment to me too.

  3. It’s funny, my family is so fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants and Pete is SO not.  There’s some fun in the chaos, but I am finding that I love the schedules and knowing what I can expect when (as much as you can with little ones!).  The day sounds so nice!

  4. Interested in posting running tips? I really want to learn better form and would love to hear what Brian is teaching you. 🙂
The schedule sounds amazing. I can almost hear the sigh of relief in your blog.
