Have you seen these before? Have you seen them pick up a cicada and fly away with it? Cicada’s are rather large, these Cicada Killer Wasps are huge. Zekey found this guy dead in our driveway….you can see he’s rather beat up, but look at that stinger….watch out. This summer was the first time I had ever seen or heard of these guys. I have to say I was creeped out and in awe the first time I saw one of these guys flying off with a paralyzed cicada. Nature never ceases to amaze me.
